Small Business Administration Recognizes Raytheon for Excellence

WALTHAM, Mass.-- Raytheon Company recently received a U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence.
The award, accepted at an SBA awards luncheon in Washington by John Harris, Raytheon's vice president of Contracts and Supply Chain, was in the manufacturing category. The company was recognized for excellence in developing and providing procurement opportunities for small businesses.

The luncheon was part of the 2006 Small Business Week festivities, which Raytheon helped sponsor.

"This recognition is an indication of Raytheon's ongoing commitment to build an effective supply chain that contributes to Raytheon's competitive position in the aerospace and defense electronics market, while meeting our customers' expectations regarding the inclusion of small businesses in support of our government contracts," Harris said.

In a letter to Raytheon Chairman and CEO William H. Swanson, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., congratulated the company on being a shining example of dedication, ingenuity and leadership.
