I work at a smaller company and am facing discrimination. Is there any laws that protect me can I take legal action I can take

Question:  I believe that I have been discriminated against by my employer because I am disabled.  Is there a small business law or regulation that can protect me?

Response:  The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”) makes it illegal for employers to discriminate against people with disabilities at work.  The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) is responsible for enforcing the ADA and ensuring that a person with a disability is free from employment discrimination.  EEOC discrimination applies as a federal law as well as a small business law and protects all individuals from being discriminated against based solely on their disability.  If you believe you have been the victim of EEOC discrimination, you may consider filing a complaint or initiating a lawsuit against the employer.
